Illinois Shines advises reviewing installer details to prevent Part II application delays
Illinois Shines · Oct 1
What happened
The Illinois Shines program administrator instructed applicants to review installer contact information, qualified person credentials, and Illinois Commerce Commission certification details prior to Part II submission. The reminder targets projects where the installer changed between Part I and Part II or where utility documentation conflicts with application details. Leaving these discrepancies unexplained will trigger Need Info requests and review delays.
Why it matters
Unresolved discrepancies at the Part II stage can delay REC contract execution and incentive disbursements for energized projects. Developers and approved vendors that swap EPCs between development and construction must proactively document installer transitions to avoid administrative backlogs. Ensuring alignment between utility interconnection records and program portal entries will streamline final verification.
