Illinois Shines Clarifies Photo Requirements for Part II Verification Submissions

Illinois Shines · Oct 9

What happened

Illinois Shines stated that Part II project applications require photographs showing all installed modules clearly. Reviewers must be able to verify module counts to ensure they match project application records and tracking registry data in GATS or M-RETS. The program administrator noted that clear, well-lit photographs expedite application processing.

Why it matters

EPCs and asset owners completing Illinois Shines projects must plan site photography to fully capture module counts matching their registry filings. Inadequate documentation can lead to review delays during Part II processing, pushing back final approval and REC contracting.
